Its a bit late in description.
I went with my Aunt to a Red Hat luncheon. They had a gift exchange and I had desert. Then it was back to wait at the house until I heard word of when to head to a friend's place for the evening.
Basically, I was suppose to meet up with a friend that had moved to Orlando in the evening and either get dinner or go to a club for a bit. As it worked out, I did not get to do this since he had to work really really late that night. I would sit at home most of the evening with Uncle Paul wishing I could go out and not get yelled at by my aunt for going alone.
Instead, Uncle Paul went with me down to Oldtown again. I picked up a shirt for mom for Christmas, saw some of the tricked out new/older cars in the parade and wondered down the little streets a bit. Uncle Paul seemed to understand I was and adult and would be fine, I kind of think he went so I wouldn't get yelled at for going alone. I just went to bed early.

Okay, your first clue that your aunt's place was a bad choice of lodgings would be her membership in the Red Hat Society, which you now undoubtedly realize is full of cat ladies, old crones with too much time on their hands, and women that can only be described as bat-shit-fucking insane.
